 What we believe:

How Do I Meet People?

Yellow Creek Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.

Women of the Creek

Yellow Creek Women have various opportunities of interaction.  Our women attend women conferences local and afar.  They participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  These projects provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men of the Creek

Yellow Creek Men have various opportunities of interaction.  Our men attend conferences local and afar.  They also participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  Men’s Ministry meetings to interact and discuss the growth of our church and ways to expand the church family.

Kitchen Kids

Once you get past fifty, sixty, etc.,  the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the Kitchen Kids of Yellow Creek provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ.

– Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]. KJV

Verse of the Day

Daily Devotion

By:  Bro. Bob Maynard

27 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Colossians 1:3 NASB  We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

There are two thoughts to this verse and I want us to think about both of them in relationship to our own lives in Christ Jesus.  The first thought is: We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  And the second thought is: praying …

26 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Colossians 1:2 NASB  To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father.

Paul’s letter says that he is writing: To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colossae.  And that he wants them to have grace and peace from God our Father.  Let’s think about what these tw …

25 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Colossians 1:1 NASB  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

And so we come to the Book of Colossians.  I want us to look into the precious little book that is only four chapters long, not because it is the next book right after Philippians but because I believe that is where the Lord wants us to go next.  In everything we say and do we …

24 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:23 NASB  The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

And we come to the end of Philippians… The very last verse.  The very last word that Paul wants to communicate to his fellow saints in Christ Jesus at Philippi.  What does he want the very last and very most important thing in their lives to be?  Grace, grace and mo …

23 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:22 NASB  All the saints greet you, especially those of Caesar’s household.

This verse has close ties to the previous verse which says: Philippians 4:21 NASB  Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you.  The subject of both of these verses is as you can well see, all about the word greet.

22 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:21 NASB  Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you.

You might be thinking to yourself: What in the world could Bob want to say about this verse?  Is there anything spiritual in this verse?  How will this verse help me, as a Christian, walk in a manner that is pleasing to my Lord Jesus Christ?

Well, to tell you the …

21 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:20 NASB  Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

And now we are down to the final four verses of Philippians.  I don’t know about you my friend, but time has flown by on this precious little book.  I have enjoyed it so much because it speaks of the preciousness of our God and Father as well as glorifying our Lord Jesus Christ.  And …

20 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:19 NASB  And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

You know how business works: Supply and demand.  Or better yet: Demand and supply.  In other words, if the public wants something, even if they don’t need it, someone, somewhere will start supplying that want.  And then someone else says: I can make a better …

19 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:18 NASB  But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.

Our VOTD starts off with a transition word: but.  We need to ask ourselves: Why is it there?  What are we transitioning from?  We …

18 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:17 NASB  Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.

Our VOTD has direct ties to the previous verse in which Paul says: for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs (Philippians 4:16 NASB).  So, we see that Paul is explaining to the Philippian Christians, who were very giving in …
