 What we believe:

How Do I Meet People?

Yellow Creek Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.

Women of the Creek

Yellow Creek Women have various opportunities of interaction.  Our women attend women conferences local and afar.  They participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  These projects provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men of the Creek

Yellow Creek Men have various opportunities of interaction.  Our men attend conferences local and afar.  They also participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  Men’s Ministry meetings to interact and discuss the growth of our church and ways to expand the church family.

Kitchen Kids

Once you get past fifty, sixty, etc.,  the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the Kitchen Kids of Yellow Creek provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ.

– Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]. KJV

Verse of the Day

Daily Devotion

By:  Bro. Bob Maynard

28 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:30 NASB  experiencing the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
Our VOTD today centers around one word: conflict.  The Philippian Christians saw the

27 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:29 NASB  For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
Let me start off with a simple question: How do you go from being a born-again, baptized believer to one who is willing to go through suffering for His sake?
Well to answer that question …

26 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:28 NASB  in no way alarmed by your opponents–which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too, from God.
Let me share with you a couple of problems with the VOTD.  First, a problem that I see with the VOTD is that I only have enough time and energy to cover one main thought for each verse and some verses have lots and …

25 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:27 NASB  Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
From this VOTD forward, Paul concerns himself with their conduct in Chris …

24 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:26 NASB  so that your proud confidence in me may abound in Christ Jesus through my coming to you again.
Wait a minute…. I thought it was wrong to have pride and in this verse Paul seems to be promoting pride when he says so that your proud confidence in me may abound …  What’s the deal here?  Is pride wrong or isn …

23 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:25 NASB  Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,
Paul starts off with: Convinced of this.  What is he convinced of?  I believe he was convinced that he was going to be spared death and was going to remain on in the flesh just as he had said in the prev …

22 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:24 NASB  yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.
What is Paul saying in this verse?  He is saying that he is thinking of the Philippians and their need for mature teaching.  Paul is not thinking of himself but others.  He wants others to benefit from his life, his knowledge and his commitment to the Lord.  I like …

21 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:23 NASB But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better;
Let’s get the complete thought: Philippians 1:21-24 NASB
(21) For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
(22) But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean …

20 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:22 NASB  But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose.

And what was yesterday’s VOTD?  What did it say?  What was it about?  Oh, I am sure you remember this famous verse: For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21 NASB).

19 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:21 NASB  For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

When you read through God’s Holy Word there are some verses that have a powerful message in just a few short words.  God the Holy Spirit strikes a chord in your own heart with the words on the page because the message that Paul is preaching is the same message that you know and believe in your heart.  And f …
