What we believe:
How Do I Meet People?
Yellow Creek Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.
Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.

Verse of the Day
Ephesians 5:29 NASB for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,
Again, as it is with many of our VOTDs, we have to look at the previous verse to get the complete thought. So, here is the previous verse with our current verse:
Ephesians 5:28 NASB So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself;
Many times when we are reading, we pass over little words and because they are so familiar and we almost take them for granted and think little about their meaning or even their purpose. With that thought in mind, I would like to call your attention to the …
Ephesians 5:27 NASB that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.
What a wonderful verse! WOW! Do you know who this verse is talking about? You and I. In fact, it is talking about all of God’s Children. If you name the name of Christ as your Sa …
Ephesians 5:26 NASB so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,
Let’s get the context of this verse so that we can understand the true meaning of the verse. The context comes from the previous verse which says: Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her (Ephesians 5:25 NASB) …
Ephesians 5:25 NASB Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,
We finally come to the verse that I have used in many previous VOTDs. So you might be asking yourself: What can you possible say about this verse that you haven’t already said? My friend, if that is your thought about this verse, then I pray that the Lord might re …
Ephesians 5:24 NASB But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.
Do you know what a “simile” is? A simile is a figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another thing of a different kind, used to make a description more emphatic or vivid. We have been talking about: Wives, be su …
Ephesians 5:23 NASB For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.
I hope and pray that as you approach scripture, or any situation for that matter, that you approach it in the manner of prayer and dependence on the Lord. For only He can give you wisdom and understanding: Then He opened their m …
Ephesians 5:22 NASB Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
Before we begin talking about our VOTD, I want us to think about the progression that we have seen in this chapter. We began the chapter with a general statement for all Christians: Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children (Ephesians 5:1 NASB). Then we moved on to genera …
Ephesians 5:21 NASB and be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.
First of all, I want you to see and know where we started in this chapter and some of the points that God wants us to know and understand. Ephesians 5:1 NASB Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; How? How do we imitate God? By b …
Ephesians 5:20 NASB always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
The very first word I want you to notice and think about is the very first word in this VOTD: always. God wants us to always, always and did I say always give thanks. Why is that? Why does God want u …
