 What we believe:

How Do I Meet People?

Yellow Creek Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.

Women of the Creek

Yellow Creek Women have various opportunities of interaction.  Our women attend women conferences local and afar.  They participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  These projects provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men of the Creek

Yellow Creek Men have various opportunities of interaction.  Our men attend conferences local and afar.  They also participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  Men’s Ministry meetings to interact and discuss the growth of our church and ways to expand the church family.

Kitchen Kids

Once you get past fifty, sixty, etc.,  the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the Kitchen Kids of Yellow Creek provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ.

Give

– Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]. KJV

Verse of the Day

Daily Devotion

By:  Bro. Bob Maynard

29 July 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 2:26 NASB  because he was longing for you all and was distressed because you had heard that he was sick.

This verse is still talking about Epaphroditus, that fine saint that came from Philippi to bring Paul a gift from the Christians there.  But I want you to remember that the most important gift that Epaphroditus gave to Paul was not money or any ot …

28 July 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 2:25 NASB  But I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger and minister to my need;

As you know we have been talking about Timothy but now we are going to turn our attention to another saint in the Lord: Epaphroditus.  We will be looking at him o …

27 July 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 2:24 NASB  and I trust in the Lord that I myself also will be coming shortly.

I would like for us to concentrate on one phrase in this verse to see if we can get a better understanding of not only what it means but also how to apply it to our lives.  The phrase I want us to pick up on is I trust in the Lord.  What did Paul mean …

Philippians 2:23 NASB  Therefore I hope to send him immediately, as soon as I see how things go with me;

Again, who are we talking about?  Why Timothy, of course.  Paul, the writer of Philippians hoped to send Timothy to the Philippian church immediately with the letter he was writing to them, just as soon as I …

24 July 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 2:22 NASB  But you know of his proven worth, that he served with me in the furtherance of the gospel like a child serving his father.

We are still talking about Timothy and Paul has some glowing words to say about him as he always does.  What do we know about Timothy?  Well the Bible Knowledge Commentary says this about Timothy:

23 July 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 2:21 NASB  For they all seek after their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus.

And who is this verse talking about?  Well, to get the correct answer we are going to have to read the previous verses and then make a decision.  Here are the previous verses:
Philippians 2:19-21 NASB

Philippians 2:20 NASB  For I have no one else of kindred spirit who will genuinely be concerned for your welfare.

Who is this verse talking about?  Paul is talking about Timothy, his son in the faith.  And we learn that from the previous verse which says: But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, …

21 July 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 2:19 NASB  But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, so that I also may be encouraged when I learn of your condition.

Do you have hopes and dreams?  Of course you do.  Some hope for a better job.  Some hope for better things and stuff or living conditions.  Some even hope for a closer walk with God.  But very fe …
