Our Mission

Yellow Creek Baptist Church exists to glorify God by bringing the lost to Christ, connecting the unchurched to church, and maturing the churched in their faith.

How Do I Meet People?

Yellow Creek Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Class teachers are carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.

Women of the Creek

Yellow Creek Women have various opportunities of interaction.  Our women attend women conferences local and afar.  They participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  These projects provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men of the Creek

Yellow Creek Men have various opportunities of interaction.  Our men attend conferences local and afar.  They also participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  Men’s Ministry meetings to interact and discuss the growth of our church and ways to expand the church family.

Kitchen Kids

Once you get past fifty, sixty, etc.,  the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the Kitchen Kids of Yellow Creek provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ.

– Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]. KJV

Verse of the Day

Daily Devotion

By:  Bro. Bob Maynard

20 October 2016 Verse of the Day

Colossians 1:25 NASB  Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,

Each time we read the Bible we should seek to know what God wants to say to us.  That is why we always want to start in prayer, praying for Him to speak to us.  He speaks through Hi …

19 October 2016 Verse of the Day

Colossians 1:24 NASB  Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions.

In each VOTD, there are a myriad of thoughts that we could pick up and follow but usually there are only one or two that we can briefly touch on due to the limited time and space that we hav …

18 October 2016 Verse of the Day

Colossians 1:23 NASB  if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

Again we have to look back in order to look forward so that we can enjoy the benefits of this verse.  The previous verse …

17 October 2016 Verse of the Day

Colossians 1:22 NASB  yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach–

I want us to again think about the contrast between this verse and the previous verse.  Let’s look at them together so that we can see the blessings that we enjoy in Christ: Colossians 1:21-22 NASB
(21)&nb …

16 October 2016 Verse of the Day

Colossians 1:21 NASB  And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,

In this verse and the next verse we are going to see the difference between a life that is living for self and a life that is living in victory in Christ.  It will be like the difference between the darkest night and the brightest day.  It will be like the difference be …

15 October 2016 Verse of the Day

Colossians 1:20 NASB  and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.

The whole focus of this verse focuses around one thought and one concept.  We want to try and understand what the Lord wants us to learn …

14 October 2016 Verse of the Day

I am sorry but there is no VOTD today due to technical difficulties with the web site.  The website just got fixed and I will post the next verse tomorrow, 15 October 2016.
Yours in Christ,
Bob Maynard

13 October 2016 Verse of the Day

Colossians 1:19 NASB  For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,

Your quiet time and time reading your Bible and reading the VOTD should be “all about” not only getting to know Christ better but it must include a personal examination of yourself in your relationship to Him.  The Holy Scriptures teach us that we are to “examine” ourselves b …

12 October 2016 Verse of the Day

Colossians 1:18 NASB  He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.

When you read a verse of scripture like this one, you have to decide who it is talking about when it uses the capital pronoun He.  It could be referring to God the Father, God the Son …

11 October 2016 Verse of the Day

Colossians 1:17 NASB  He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Again, this verse is talking about the Lord Jesus Christ.  It makes some powerful claims and we want to know about these claims so that we can know more about our Wonderful Lord and Master.  First: He is before all things.  Such a short statement but it has wonde …
