Our Mission

Yellow Creek Baptist Church exists to glorify God by bringing the lost to Christ, connecting the unchurched to church, and maturing the churched in their faith.

How Do I Meet People?

Yellow Creek Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Class teachers are carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.

Women of the Creek

Yellow Creek Women have various opportunities of interaction.  Our women attend women conferences local and afar.  They participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  These projects provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men of the Creek

Yellow Creek Men have various opportunities of interaction.  Our men attend conferences local and afar.  They also participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  Men’s Ministry meetings to interact and discuss the growth of our church and ways to expand the church family.

Kitchen Kids

Once you get past fifty, sixty, etc.,  the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the Kitchen Kids of Yellow Creek provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ.

Give

– Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]. KJV

Verse of the Day

Daily Devotion

By:  Bro. Bob Maynard

22 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:24 NASB  yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.

What is Paul saying in this verse?  He is saying that he is thinking of the Philippians and their need for mature teaching.  Paul is not thinking of himself but others.  He wants others to benefit from his life, his knowledge and his commitment to the Lord.  I like …

21 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:23 NASB But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better;

Let’s get the complete thought: Philippians 1:21-24 NASB
(21) For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
(22) But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean …

20 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:22 NASB  But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose.

And what was yesterday’s VOTD?  What did it say?  What was it about?  Oh, I am sure you remember this famous verse: For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21 NASB).

19 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:21 NASB  For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

When you read through God’s Holy Word there are some verses that have a powerful message in just a few short words.  God the Holy Spirit strikes a chord in your own heart with the words on the page because the message that Paul is preaching is the same message that you know and believe in your heart.  And f …

18 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:20 NASB  according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

I want us to do things a little different today.  I want us to think about the phrase in our VOTD that says my earnest expectation and hope

17 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:19 NASB  for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Have you ever been in a position or job that you didn’t want to be in?  Maybe it was a job that you had to put in a lot of overtime in and it was just more work that any one person could do.  Or maybe it was the …

16 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:18 NASB What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice,

Again, we want to pick up the complete thought, so here is the previous verses:
Philippians 1:15-17 NASB
(15) Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and str …

15 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:17 NASB the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment.

The complete thought for this verse starts a couple of verses back:
Philippians 1:15-17 NASB
(15) Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also …

14 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:16 NASB  the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel;

In order to get the full impact and meaning out of our current VOTD, we have to pick up the thought from the previous verse which says: Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will (Philippians 1:15 NASB).

13 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:15 NASB  Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will;

Do you know what this verse is saying?  It is saying that the same kind of people give the same kind of reactions in Paul’s day as they do in our day.  In other words, people and their reactions to the good news of God’s salvation through faith in His only be …
