Our Mission

Yellow Creek Baptist Church exists to glorify God by bringing the lost to Christ, connecting the unchurched to church, and maturing the churched in their faith.

How Do I Meet People?

Yellow Creek Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Class teachers are carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.

Women of the Creek

Yellow Creek Women have various opportunities of interaction.  Our women attend women conferences local and afar.  They participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  These projects provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men of the Creek

Yellow Creek Men have various opportunities of interaction.  Our men attend conferences local and afar.  They also participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  Men’s Ministry meetings to interact and discuss the growth of our church and ways to expand the church family.

Kitchen Kids

Once you get past fifty, sixty, etc.,  the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the Kitchen Kids of Yellow Creek provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ.

Give

– Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]. KJV

Philippians 2:17 NASB  But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.

This VOTD is going to be difficult to explain because we have to get technical in order to explain it properly so that we may worship at the feet of Jesus, our Lord and Master.  Remember the goal of t …

Philippians 2:16 NASB  holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.

Philippians 2:15 NASB  so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,

Again, I want us to see how we got to this verse, so we need to read the previous verses so that we can continue the thoughts into this verse:

Philippians 2:14 NASB  Do all things without grumbling or disputing;

First I need to share with you why this verse is here and is written the way it is… and then we will explore the meaning and the boundaries and finally the extent of this verse.  First, why is this verse here?  I believe it is here, written just the way it is because of the previous verse. …

15 July 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 2:13 NASB  for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

The very first question that comes to mind when I read this verse is: WHY?  Why is God at work in you and me?  What is it in us that makes us such a valuable resource that the God who could create anything, would take the time, e …

Philippians 2:9 NASB  For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,

What’s in a name?  Can anyone say EVERYTHING?  Your name represents you.  It says who you are and what you are.  Every name carries with it a either a stigma or a good reputation.  When you hear a name, you either think good or bad about it.&n …
