Our Mission

Yellow Creek Baptist Church exists to glorify God by bringing the lost to Christ, connecting the unchurched to church, and maturing the churched in their faith.

How Do I Meet People?

Yellow Creek Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Class teachers are carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.

Women of the Creek

Yellow Creek Women have various opportunities of interaction.  Our women attend women conferences local and afar.  They participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  These projects provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men of the Creek

Yellow Creek Men have various opportunities of interaction.  Our men attend conferences local and afar.  They also participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  Men’s Ministry meetings to interact and discuss the growth of our church and ways to expand the church family.

Kitchen Kids

Once you get past fifty, sixty, etc.,  the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the Kitchen Kids of Yellow Creek provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ.

Give

– Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]. KJV

Daily Devotion

By:  Bro. Bob Maynard

16 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:16 NASB  the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel;

In order to get the full impact and meaning out of our current VOTD, we have to pick up the thought from the previous verse which says: Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will (Philippians 1:15 NASB).

13 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:15 NASB  Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will;

Do you know what this verse is saying?  It is saying that the same kind of people give the same kind of reactions in Paul’s day as they do in our day.  In other words, people and their reactions to the good news of God’s salvation through faith in His only be …

12 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:14 NASB and that most of the brethren, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear.

This verse is the result of the previous two verses, so let’s read all three so that we get the complete thought for our VOTD:
Philippians 1:12-14 NASB
(12) Now …

11 June 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 1:13 NASB so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the whole praetorian guard and to everyone else,

Now as usual when we come to a verse with an incomplete thought, we need to see the previous verse to get the whole meaning:
Philippians 1:12-13 NASB

Philippians 1:12 NASB  Now I want you to know, brethren, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel,

Our VOTD says that Paul’s circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel.  What were Paul’s circumstances?  Well, Paul was in Rome as a prisoner when he wrote …
