Our Mission

Yellow Creek Baptist Church exists to glorify God by bringing the lost to Christ, connecting the unchurched to church, and maturing the churched in their faith.

How Do I Meet People?

Yellow Creek Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Class teachers are carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.

Women of the Creek

Yellow Creek Women have various opportunities of interaction.  Our women attend women conferences local and afar.  They participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  These projects provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men of the Creek

Yellow Creek Men have various opportunities of interaction.  Our men attend conferences local and afar.  They also participate in our annual food drive, and clothing drive, located in our community.  Men’s Ministry meetings to interact and discuss the growth of our church and ways to expand the church family.

Kitchen Kids

Once you get past fifty, sixty, etc.,  the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the Kitchen Kids of Yellow Creek provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ.

Give

– Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]. KJV

Verse of the Day

Daily Devotion

By:  Bro. Bob Maynard

20 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:19 NASB  And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

You know how business works: Supply and demand.  Or better yet: Demand and supply.  In other words, if the public wants something, even if they don’t need it, someone, somewhere will start supplying that want.  And then someone else says: I can make a better …

19 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:18 NASB  But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.

Our VOTD starts off with a transition word: but.  We need to ask ourselves: Why is it there?  What are we transitioning from?  We …

18 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:17 NASB  Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.

Our VOTD has direct ties to the previous verse in which Paul says: for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs (Philippians 4:16 NASB).  So, we see that Paul is explaining to the Philippian Christians, who were very giving in …

17 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:16 NASB  for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs.

How often do you get paid?  Once a week.  Once every two weeks.  Once a month.  How would you feel if you NEVER knew when you were going to get paid or IF you were even going to be paid… Wow.  Now there’s a concept most of us have not even thought about or if we di …

16 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:15 NASB  You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone;

This is a sad, sad verse.  It should speak to Christians everywhere.  When Paul says no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, he i …

15 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:14 NASB  Nevertheless, you have done well to share with me in my affliction.

Let’s review to see how we got to this verse.  Paul says: Philippians 4:11-13 NASB
(11)  Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.
(12)  I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in p …

14 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:13 NASB  I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

This verse is the secret that was mentioned in the previous verse: I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering ne …

Philippians 4:12 NASB  I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.

This VOTD is closely tied to the previous verse which says Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in what …

12 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:11 NASB  Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.

Doesn’t this verse say where we all WANT to be?  Don’t we want to be able to say the same thing that Paul says in this verse?  Isn’t this our heart’s desire to be able to say with Paul for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I …

11 September 2016 Verse of the Day

Philippians 4:10 NASB  But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity.

What’s it like to be in jail, alone and uncertain of the outcome?  What’s it like when you know the whole Jewish nation and all of the rulers are against you and want to see you put to death?  How …
